Front of House Volunteers
The most common volunteer opportunity is working front of house on performance nights; volunteers get to see the show for free. Front of house volunteers may assist with ticket sales, concession sales, or hand out programs. To volunteer for front of house, call our ticket reservation number 919.682.3343, and leave a message telling us which performance you want to work. Volunteers need to be at the theater no later than 6:45 (or 1:45 on Sundays). Other Volunteers
Volunteers are needed for help with work days (painting/building sets, striking sets, cleaning, setup of seating, etc.) or with productions (assisting tech crew, or backstage crew). Actor Auditions
We hold general auditions each spring, usually in late April/early May, with many area companies and directors in attendance. We also occasionally hold auditions for specific shows or roles. Script Submissions
We are not actively soliciting script submissions or script summaries. (Most of our original productions are originated in-house.) We will try (but not guarantee) to look at unsolicited material in the form of digital files, as time permits. A link to your website, blog, or downloadable script samples would be helpful. Please do not mail us hard copies of scripts.
Other Voices
Manbites Dog presents a series of guest companies and artists chosen for the quality of their work and the uniqueness of their artistic vision. If you want to propose an Other Voices project, please email us with the phrase “Other Voices Guidelines” in the subject field; we will send you guidelines and information about how to apply.
Space Rental
Manbites Dog’s performance space is used for Manbites Dog season productions, and for Other Voices presentations. It is not usually available for other rentals.
